Get an up to the minute graphical picture of the fuel situation for each tank at any time. In one quick glance, you can visually see how much fuel remains in each tank.  You also know at all times how much flying time is left for the total fuel remaining. Specify the fuel levels and the consumption rate, and the program takes care of the rest.  When you start the engine, you start the program with a tap of your finger. Switch tanks, another tap switches tanks. It's as easy as that.

If you wish, the program can  be easily configured to remind you when to switch tanks.  Specify the difference in gallons between tanks before switching, and the program will display a warning  with an audible alarm to remind you to switch tanks.   You can also specify a minimum total fuel level at which the program will display a low fuel warning, with an audible alarm.  If the unit is turned off, Flying Fuel will turn the Palm on to make sure you get the alarm.

Flying Fuel is a Palm Pilot application that helps monitor fuel usage in an airplane.  It helps you keep track of how much fuel is in each tank and reminds you to switch tanks when it's time to switch.  Plus, you will always know how much flying time you have left on the remaining fuel.  It is designed for any plane with two tanks, whether the fuel selector can be set for each tank individually or both at the same time.

One picture says it all.  It's easy to determine how much fuel is in each tank, how much time remains on the available fuel, and which tank is currently being used.

When the program determines that it is time to switch tanks, it displays a warning with an audible alarm to switch to the other tank.  Tap the box for the other tank, the alarm goes away and the program switches to the other tank.

A configuration screen allows you to specify the capacity of the fuel tanks, useable fuel, alert and alarm settings, and mode of operation.
